Contracted by the AHA to assess the outcomes of the use for Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPSs) to identify one or two key policy levers that can facilitate RPS having benefit in addressing air quality and cardiovascular disease. Two major deliverables were the outcome for this work with one being a policy bottom line that will allow the AHA can take the guidance provided by our analysis and enact it into national policy that will require all 50 states to comply with the RPS goals outlined therein. This is the first ever policy statement in this area to be drafted.
